Marutomo Kombu and Bonito Soup Base 500ml
Kombu kelp and bonito tsuyu soup stock. This has been made with Rishiri Konbu from Hokkaido noted for its excellent taste and quality. This delicious savoury combination of konbu kelp, bonito and dried sardines makes this tsuyu soup stock a great ingredient for traditional soups, noodle dips and vegetable seasonings.
Tsuyu is the delicious soup stock used for most Japanese noodle dishes, hotpots and can even be used as a rich dipping sauce for tempura. Tsuyu has become an increasingly popular condiment in Japan and is made from a blend of dashi soup stock and a mixture of soy sauce, mirin and sugar.
This tsuyu soup stock makes for delicious noodle soups, dipping sauces and dressings:
• Add 1 part tsuyu to 5 – 5 parts hot water for a rich noodle soup.
• Add 1 part tsuyu to 2-3 parts hot water for a noodle dipping sauce.
• Use straight as a rich soy sauce-based dressing.
